Contact form not working.

Postby joeKnox » Thu Jul 22, 2010 8:27 am

Hi,
I followed the instructions to update the contact form but it isn't working.

I tested the email account, since it is a new account and it sends and recieves fine, from/to other email accounts but I don't get emails sent from the contact form.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

The site is hosted at Go Daddy.

Hello. If you have followed the instructions in the FAQ and it is still not sending the problem is probably with the way your host is setup. I know someone else had a problem with Go Daddy:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=894&p=1334

Hopefully that helps.

At this point, I don't have the option to switch servers. Do you have an idea on how to begin configuring your form to work on the Go Daddy site?

The GoDaddy tech I spoke with mentioned linux-compatability as a possible roadblock.

Does this sound feasible?

Could the fix be as easy as replacing the code in contact.php?

I appreciate the support here, once this form is working the site is ready to go.

Hello. I really have no idea why it's not working on your server setup. I'm a Flash guy and unfortunately don't know much about servers or anything more than basic PHP.

You can try reading through the comments in this blog post, which is using the same contact form code:

Well, for now, I've turned the contact form off......

Is there a way though, to tighten up the space between the email and phone number?

The only way you can really control the spacing between the text elements is to add or remove line breaks...
